Networking Workshop
In this 90-minute interactive workshop, you’ll enhance your networking skills and get help with a real writing problem. By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Explain why networking is important for writers – at any stage in the writing journey.
- Identify a writing need that could be fulfilled by another WCDR member in one hour.
- Make a connection to fulfil this need within thirty days.
- Identify an offer you are willing to make to help another member that can be fulfilled in one hour, and connect to accomplish it within thirty days.
- Add to your store of writing resources.
Deb Stratas tells well-researched and highly readable stories about powerful women in extraordinary circumstances. Readers are transported to past times and places, inspired to be authentic in their own lives.
In 2023, she signed with ReadMore Press and re-launched her WWII Kingston Twin series: The War Twins of London and A Burning London Sky. The third book in the series, Katie’s War will be published this year. Deb is also known for her Diana Spencer historical fiction trilogy which was ranked #7 in Reader’s Digest Canada 2021: 10 Portrayals of Princess Diana in Pop Culture.
Deb is based in Oshawa, Ontario and has been a WCDR member since 2018. She also belongs to the Writer’s Union of Canada and the Historical Novel Society. Prior to retiring in 2019, Deb had a fulfilling 41-year career with IBM Canada, with the last twenty years as a Global Learning Designer in IBM Management Development.
