Ten of Diamonds

Gwynn Scheltema -Ten of Diamonds

A Chapbook of Constraint Poems published by Glentula Press 2021

A constraint can be anything: a new poetic form, inclusions or exclusions, or a poem written around another poet’s line. It can be as confining as writing without using the letter “e” or as simple as including the name of a flower or a season.

Every poem in this series includes five constraints:
• the name of a famous diamond • an archaic or seldom-used word
• the poem is set in a time that is not now
• two colours
• one article of clothing
